Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, BJP leader, arrested by Punjab police for threatening Arvind Kejriwal: AAP MLA

New Delhi: The Punjab police have arrested the Delhi BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga for allegedly threatening Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, AAP MLA Naresh Balyan tweeted on Friday. “The party of scoundrels, BJP’s leader Tajinder Singh Bagga has been arrested by the Punjab police. Had threatened Arvind Kejriwal saying ‘won’t let you live,” the lawmaker tweeted in Hindi.

Bagga’s father, Preetpal Singh Bagga, has confirmed that the BJP leader was detained by policemen from his house in Delhi on Friday morning. 

“Today morning, 10-15 police personnel came to our home and dragged Tajinder out. When I picked up my mobile phone to record a video of the incident, police took me to another room and punched me in the face,” he claimed. 

He said the police claimed Tajinder had written a threat letter to the Delhi Chief Minister. 

“The police personnel who came to our home today morning said that Tajinder gave a death threat to Arvind Kejriwal. Delhi Police had no information about the incident; A DCP is here now,” he added.
