THESE are Dheeraj Dhoopar`s Mumbai favourites

Actor Dheeraj Dhoopar is a true Mumbaikar, from Marine Drive to Tapri ki chai, it`s all on his list of favourites.

Vada Pav or Pav Bhaji?

I dont have it now but it has to be any day, Vada Pav. I just love the taste of it. There were times when Vada Pav was my go to food item. This was when I had just come to Mumbai and had heard a lot about it.

Rickshaw or Kaali Peeli?

Rickshaw for sure. Living in the suburbs got me to travel only by rickshaw under crisis situations. It is such a time saver!

Juhu beach or Bandra Bandstand?

Can`t choose between the two. Both have their own Mumbai charm to it. But having said that Juhu beach is where I had first visited.

Gateway of India or Marine Drive?

Marine Drive! The whole experience of driving down that road is magical and unlike any other city in India. The building and the landscape is truly awesome.

Local train or BEST bus?

I have never travelled by train or BEST Buses to be honest so can`t comment on it but when I had just come to Mumbai I had heard a lot about local trains.

Tapri ki chai or Sol Kadhi?

Tapri Ki chai! Especially during the rains. It one shows that Amchi Mumbai is such a convenient city.

Favourite restaurant in the city?

Dashanzi, JW Marriott. I just love the place and the food.

Watching a play at Prithvi theatre or watching a movie at Gaiety Galaxy?

Nothing can compare to the experience of watching a play at Prithvi. It is so unique and so beautiful. The very experience of having something at their cafe is so cool. I can feel the rich history that this place has had. The best part was when Shashi Kapoorji used to sit at the cafe in the evenings.

Favourite place in Mumbai?

I love the Starbucks at Goregaon East. The view when you sit at this cafe is truly very beautiful.

The Mumbai lingo you use the most?

I sometimes use this on my friends just for fun ‘Kya Paka raha hai be’

What do you love most about the city?

Mumbai is a magical city with no limits. The city has accepted me with such love and affections. From the people to the variety that this place offers is unimaginable. It is an addictive city, so much so that whenever we travel out of the city, I end up wanting to come back.
