PM Shehbaz Sharif flying to London tonight to meet Nawaz Sharif

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will most likely depart for London tonight in order to attend an emergency meeting of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) summoned by party supremo Nawaz Sharif.

Federal ministers including Marriyum Aurangzeb, Saad Rafique, Khurram Dastagir, Ahsan Iqbal, and others are set to depart from London tomorrow, according to well-informed sources (Wednesday).

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the PML- N’s Senior Vice-President and former prime minister, has already arrived in London.

It is expected that participants will address the country’s general political and economic status at the summit, according to sources. The former prime minister will discuss with the leadership of his party a number of other critical issues, and major decisions are expected in the coming days.

Power-sharing agreements, the next general elections, and the situation in Punjab will all be decided during the conference, as well as other issues.

According to sources, former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would talk with his party’s leadership about holding early elections after certain top PML-N leaders raised worries over postponing the passage of election reform legislation and the holding of general elections.
