Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson make an unlikely team in the upcoming Netflix release, The Man From Toronto, dropping on the streamer this Friday, June 24. In the action-comedy, directed by Patrick Hughes, a case of mistaken identity brings the duo together but you’ll be able to tell by our interview that this team-up was anything but a mistake.
In the film, a screw-up is forced to team up with an assassin after the two are confused for one another while staying at an Airbnb. It’s a series of unfortunate events made funny by Hart’s trademark humor and Harrelson’s ability to play a cunning straight-man that is hiding a softer side deep within. Hart has had some pretty rewarding pairings in the past like Dwayne Johnson, Ice Cube, and Will Ferrell, but Harrelson proves to be one that you don’t expect, yet it works in the best way possible.
During our chat, I talk with Kevin Hart about how this union came to be and the actor is all positive vibes about why he wanted to work with Harrelson and how it came to fruition. Harrelson also details the joy of working with Kevin Hart and we discuss which performer was more willing to go all-in on the stunts in the film because there is A LOT to go around.
The Man From Toronto drops on Netflix Friday, June 24, 2022.
