iPhone 14 is among the most repairable iPhones to date

In its most basic form, the iPhone 14 is one of the most durable and easy-to-repairable iPhones ever did make. JerryRigEverything, who is known for doing tough durability tests, recently did post a video on Youtube in which he demonstrates Apple’s newest flagship phone and did talk about many important parts of how it does make it.

Repairability

The base model of the iPhone 14 is much easier to repair than the ones that came before it. The fact that it can now open from the back makes it much easier to take apart. Which makes it easier to fix and lasts longer. Also, the official Apple repairable will cost less ($169) than the price for the dowels $499 for iPhone 14 Pro.

The scratch-off game

Next, we looked at how well the new iPhone 14 held up to repeated drops and found that it is as strong as the iPhone 13. Apple’s Ceramic Shield makes it less likely that the screen also does remove than it is on an Android phone. Mohs’ scale says that it hardly scratches at 6 and that it scratches at all at 7.

But Levels 6, 7, and 8 show that Apple’s “sapphire crystal” protection is mostly just marketing hype since the back cameras are easy to scratch at those points. In his video, Zack says that Apple’s cameras would be much better. If they used the same Ceramic Shield material on the back.

A Bend and Burn Exam

The next tests show that the screen can touch a shirtless flame for about 30 seconds before the pixels and brightness can no longer did fix. Pixels that are did burn don’t come back to life, and the brightness of the screen doesn’t change.

The iPhone is very strong because it passes the bend test with flying colors. You can’t bend the phone in either direction to make it bend.
