After NYPD officials requested, three drill rappers were removed from Rolling Loud’s lineup in NYC.

The three rappers removed are Sha Ek, Ron Sudo, and 22gz after the decision was made by festival officials a day before the three-day event. In response to the NYPD’s request, Sha Ek said he was “disappointed” in their decision since police attempted to associate him with violence. According to XXL, Sha Ek recently ended a tour in the Northeast without any issues.
Last year, Ron Suno was involved in a fight during last year’s festival, and his manager, Diamond Brown, questioned why he was removed from the lineup. “How can a person who has no criminal record and no gang ties—the kid never even made a diss record—be denied to perform in his hometown after all his hard work?” she said.

22Gz has a previous criminal record, including an arrest for attempted murder for allegedly shooting three people. He was also jailed for five months in an unrelated case for a 2017 shooting in Miami. However, his charges were dropped, the outlet noted.
Three years prior, the NYPD also requested for Pop Smoke, Casanova, Sheff G, 22gz, and Don Q to be removed from Rolling Loud’s first concert in New York City due to safety concerns.
“The New York Police Department requests the below-listed individuals be removed from performing at the Rolling Loud Festival taking place at Citi Field on Saturday, October 12, 2019, and Sunday, October 13, 2019, due to public safety concerns,” the NYPD’s press release said at the time.
Fans react to the news and say their not surprised by the festival’s decision.
After learning about the news, fans of the rappers said they weren’t surprised that the NYPD stepped in to ensure their removal from the festival’s lineup.
Are y’all really mad they banned drill rappers from Rolling Loud NYC? The same rappers who can’t send out the address of their own shows due to safety reasons? Lol
