Kate Middleton appears to make cameo in brother James Middleton’s newly released wedding photo

Kate Middleton’s younger brother, James Middleton, has shared a stunning never-before-seen photo from his wedding in 2021. But it was a blurry figure in the background, of what appears to be the Princess of Wales, that had royal watchers intrigued.

The image appears to be taken at the evening reception from his wedding to Alizee Thevenet in September 2021 and shows James embracing his mother, Carole Middleton, on the dance floor. The previously unseen image was shared by James on Instagram this week in honour of Mother’s Day in the UK.

“You make my World go around,” James, 35, captioned the throwback pic. “Ha️ppy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there and especially to this one.”

Delighted fans are convinced the woman in the background of the photo is Kate, 41, looking carefree in a short-sleeved white dress and her trademark bouncy blow-dry. Many also think the person directly behind James and Carole is the sibling’s sister, Pippa Middleton, 39.

“Now that’s a happy photo!” one fan commented, while a second wondered: “Do I spy Kate and Pippa in the background?!”

James married Alizee in France – her home country – at Bormes-les-Mimosas, one of the beautiful villages in the Côte d’Azur region. In a sentimental token, the bride wore the same wedding dress Carole wore when she married husband Michael Middleton four decades ago.

“My something borrowed was in fact my dress from my mother-in-law Carole who last wore it 41 years ago on her wedding day in June, 1980,” financial analyst Alizée explained to Hello! magazine at the time.

“It fitted me perfectly and was exactly what I wanted. It always troubled me that wedding dresses are only worn once so it was amazing to give such a beautiful dress a second lease of life.”

It’s believed Kate and her husband Prince William – they were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the time – flew to the South of France for the family nuptials with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
