Kylie Jenner has explained the correct pronunciation of her baby son’s name after fans came up with their own interpretations.
The makeup mogul revealed that her newborn’s name is Aire while also sharing a series of snaps of her little one, whom she shares with rapper Travis Scott.
The 25-year-old make-up mogul initially revealed she and the Sicko Mode musician, 31, had named their little boy Wolf when he was born last February.
However, the star then announced they had a change of heart and the socialite finally shared her toddler’s true name over the weekend, which means Lion of God.
Following the cute reveal, fans queried whether her baby’s name was pronounced ‘Air’ or ‘Airey.’
To which the proud mum-of-two replied: ‘Air.’
After news of Kylie and Travis’ son’s name broke, journalist Antoinette Lattouf tweeted: ‘Umm should someone tell Kylie Jenner she renamed her son Aire which is a common Arabic expression for “my penis” or nah?’
Antoinette wasn’t the only person to point out the translation, with other comments on social media including: ‘Kylie Jenner named her son “AIRE” only if she knows what the means in Arabic’ and ‘kylie named her son “aire” and it means something real nasty in arabic lmaoooo.’
‘Kylie Jenner named her son ….. aire lmaoooo laughs in Arabic,’ tweeted someone else, while another person quipped: ‘That poor kid is going to be renamed again.’
Speaking previously about her indecisiveness around her son’s name, Kylie explained why she and her ex-Travis had initially settled on the name Wolf.
It was reported in early January that Kylie and Travis had split a second time, almost one year after Aire was born.
A source told Us Weekly: ‘Kylie and Travis are off again, they were
supposed to spend the holidays together, but she went to Aspen to be
with her family and friends up there.”
‘This has happened so many times before, they’re known to be on again off again, but always remain friends and great co-parents.’
