Travis Barker recently shared that he had made the challenging choice to fix his hand injury with surgery. The drummer also posted a picture of himself post-surgery, thanking the doctors for the successful operation and his fans for their support on Instagram.

The rocker had previously announced that he had dislocated his finger during a drumming practice. Shortly after the initial injury, Travis revealed that his finger was dislocated again. This news came shortly before his upcoming tour with Blink-182 was to set off, leaving the fans worried about the drummer’s health and the possible cancelation of the shows.

So, Travis decided to take matters into hands (Poor choice of pun, I know) and chose to get surgery to ensure that his finger injury wouldn’t relapse. He announced it on his social platforms, discussing how the operation was necessary to fix things for good and make sure it wouldn’t leave permanent damage while thanking his fans for their understanding.

It was inevitable that my finger would have dislocated again without fixing the torn ligament surgically. So grateful for Dr. Shin and that my surgery was a success so that I can keep doing what I love and see you guys on tour soon
